About the role
Emerging Middle Market Segment Strategy LeaderThe Emerging Middle Market (EMM) Segment Strategy Leader will serve as the EMM segment expert and strategic advisor for Commercial Banking reporting to the Head of Market Coverage with accountability to all Division Executives of the Coverage businesses and leaders within the Credit Products businesses. This leader has responsibility to build and implement EMM segment sales strategies to drive new strategic client acquisition leading to improved market share, deepening of CB clients across all products and sustained profitable growth. This role will lead the implementation of approved EMM strategies to enhance business productivity, promote growth programs, improve client acquisition and deepening techniques, and identify opportunities to improve sales effectiveness. In addition, this individual will have primary accountability for EMM-specific product enhancement and delivery. Additionally, this role will help foster and reinforce a high performing sales culture for the segment; align resources, training, and support in coordination with Sales Enablement.In this role, you will:Build and implement EMM segment sales and product strategies based on market and industry trends to inform the CB Business Plan for the coverage and product businesses.Own the CB go-to-market strategy for EMM responsible for the execution of the EMM growth strategies, market share improvement, deliver of the full product suite and reinforce a continuous improvement sales culture.Accountable executive for EMM-specific product and service offerings and responsible for coordination with Product Management Executives in CB and critical partners GPL, CIB- Rates and FX, WIM, and CSBB.Assist in identifying growth goals for the segment, wallet and penetration objectives, sales and key performance indicators for CB and the sales teams.Utilize data analysis to forecast sales trends, identify potential opportunities, and market specific strategies.Align sales strategy plan with marketing initiatives and ensure a consistent delivery across CB.Partners with sales and business leaders to ensure sales teams in coverage and credit products aligned to the EMM segment drive an appropriate level of new client acquisition across CB.Supports and drives consistency in setting performance expectations, measuring performance, and identifying training needs and resources for sales force.Evaluate and assess effectiveness of sales strategies and adjust as needed.Continuously works to strengthen risk and control infrastructure around sales procedures, policies, activities, and product placement; identifies and mitigates risk, contributes to improving controls, and participates in issues management when necessary.Required Qualifications:10+ years of Business Growth Strategy experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:In-depth understanding of Commercial Banking's client segments, its products, industries and clients.Executive presence and the ability to drive outcomes through influencing at all levels of the organizationExcellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skillsDemonstrated strategic vision with the ability to lead execution across multiple priorities simultaneouslyAbility to operate in a highly matrixed and global environment with multiple and senior stakeholdersBachelor's degree from accredited institutionPay Range Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location.
