About the role
Movement Search and Delivery is working with a manufacturing company in Akron, Ohio area to identify and evaluate a Quality Engineer for 2nd shift (1pm - 9pm).
About the Role:
If you're the person who can't walk past a process without asking "how do we make this better?", this role is built for you. As our Quality Engineer, you'll own the systems that make sure every part leaving our floor is right the first time. You'll have real influence on how we build, measure, and improve, and your work will be visible to customers and leadership alike.
What You Will Do:
- Build and run the quality processes that keep us ahead of customer requirements and industry regulations
- Design inspection and testing methods that catch issues before they become problems
- Set the metrics that tell us how we're performing, and use them to drive results
- Lead corrective, preventive, and continuous improvement actions from root cause to fix
- Run statistical process studies that turn data into decisions
- Own PPAP documentation and submissions
- Be the go-to quality resource for internal teams and external customers
- Perform inspections and jump in hands-on when needed
- Partner with the Quality Supervisor and Manager to strengthen and maintain our Quality Systems
- Take on special projects for senior leadership, with plenty of room to make your mark
- What You Need to Succeed:
- Degree in Quality or Engineering
- Quality Engineering experience in manufacturing
- Strong APQP/PPAP background
- Hands-on experience with manual and automated gaging
- Working knowledge of IATF/ISO quality systems
- Proficiency in Minitab, GageTrak, and MS OfficeASQ CQE or CQT a plus
