We are seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer - Team Lead to lead the planning, design, and delivery of complex water resources projects including H&H modeling, stormwater management, irrigation systems, flood mitigation, watershed studies, river restoration, and dam/reservoir rehabilitation. This role combines technical leadership, project management, client engagement, and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling using tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and SWMM/PCSWMM.Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risk.
Serve as the primary client contact and lead technical meetings and presentations.
Oversee design reports, PS&E packages, permitting applications, and QA/QC reviews.
Mentor and develop engineers and EITs while balancing team workloads.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and provide construction-phase support.
Support business development, proposals, and client account growth.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Water Resources, Environmental Engineering, or related ABET-accredited program.8+ years of water resources engineering experience.
PE license preferred.
Strong experience in H&H modeling, stormwater, floodplain, and watershed projects.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS/QGIS.Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
Knowledge of FEMA, USACE, state, and local permitting processes preferred.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
