2. Personal Trainer Jobs in Sugar Land, TX# Personal Trainer Jobs in Sugar Land, TXContract / 1099 Sugar Land, Texas Posted Aug. 24, 2026Typical rate:$50-$95/hr- trainers set their own rate About This Role As an ElderFIT trainer, you can work with clients in two ways: provide in-home personal training to seniors within your local service area, offer virtual personal training via video calls to seniors throughout your time zone, or do both. Sugar Land and the surrounding southwest Houston area are home to a growing population of older adults who want to remain active and independent as they age. Throughout Sugar Land, Missouri City, Stafford, Richmond, Rosenberg, Greatwood, New Territory, and surrounding communities, seniors and their families are seeking personalized fitness programs focused on strength, balance, mobility, and everyday function. As an ElderFIT trainer, you'll work directly with older adults to improve strength, balance, mobility, flexibility, and overall quality of life. Rather than spending your time marketing your services or searching for new clients, ElderFIT connects you with seniors actively looking for personal training. You'll enjoy flexible scheduling, competitive pay, mileage reimbursement for eligible in-home sessions, and the opportunity to build meaningful, long-term relationships while helping older adults stay active and independent.
Responsibilities: As an ElderFIT Personal Trainer, you will:* Provide safe, one-on-one personal training sessions for seniors, either in their homes or virtually via video calls.* Perform fitness assessments and establish individualized exercise programs based on each client's goals, health history, and functional abilities.* Help clients improve strength, balance, mobility, flexibility, endurance, and confidence with everyday activities.* Modify exercises as needed to accommodate injuries, chronic conditions, or changing physical abilities.* Motivate and encourage clients while promoting long-term healthy habits and independence.* Maintain accurate session notes and communicate progress through the ElderFIT platform.* Deliver an exceptional customer experience by communicating professionally, being dependable, and building trusting relationships with clients and their families.* For virtual sessions, provide a professional training environment and clear instruction that allows clients to exercise safely and effectively via video.
Qualifications: We're looking for personal trainers who:* Hold an active personal trainer certification from an NCCA-approved program (NASM, ACE, ACSM, ISSA, NSCA, or equivalent) or have a bachelor's or advanced degree in kinesiology, exercise science, or physical therapy.* Have a passion for working with seniors and helping older adults live healthier, more independent lives.* Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.* Have reliable transportation and are comfortable traveling to clients' homes throughout the Sugar Land area if offering in-home training.* Have the technology, internet connection, and appropriate environment needed to conduct high-quality video sessions if offering virtual training.* Maintain current CPR/AED certification.* Maintain active professional liability insurance that covers personal training services.* Are dependable, compassionate, self-motivated, and committed to providing outstanding service.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
