About the role
- Review closed title files for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure all required closing and title documents have been properly executed
- Review deeds, mortgages, affidavits, transfer documents, and other closing documents
- Track and obtain outstanding post-closing documents
- Handle recording packages and follow up on recording status
- Confirm mortgages, deeds, and other documents have been properly recorded
- Assist with clearing post-closing title issues and outstanding requirements
- Track satisfactions, releases, payoffs, and other necessary documentation
- Maintain accurate electronic files and update the title production system
- Communicate with closers, attorneys, lenders, recording offices, and internal staff
- Assist with final title policy preparation and file completion as needed Qualifications2+ years of recent title insurance/post-closing experience ****New York title insurance experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of NY title documents, recording procedures, and post-closing requirements
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail
