About the role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Wire Harness Assembler to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling complex electrical wiring harnesses and electro-mechanical components used in a variety of industrial, automotive, and electronic applications. Your expertise will ensure that each harness meets rigorous quality standards and adheres to detailed blueprints and schematics. Duties:
Assemble wire harnesses by following electrical schematics, blueprints, and detailed assembly instructions. Use hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, soldering irons, and power tools to accurately connect wires and components. Interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and IPC 610 standards to ensure precise assembly and quality control. Produce wiring looms and cable assemblies using crimping, soldering, lacing, and splicing techniques following IPC 620 standards Build electrical panels and electro-mechanical assemblies by integrating wiring with mechanical parts using surface mount technology (SMT) techniques. Conduct electrical testing using ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools to verify continuity, resistance, and proper wiring connections. Troubleshoot assembly issues through engineering troubleshooting methods to resolve wiring or component problems efficiently. Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols related to electrical wiring, soldering, and machining processes. Skills High school diploma or equivalent 3-5 years of experience in wiring and developing wire run lists Strong understanding of PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assembly processes and surface mount technology (SMT).Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams for accurate assembly. Experience with electrical wiring, panel building, and electro-mechanical component integration. Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, soldering irons, power tools, and ohmmeters for testing purposes. Knowledge of IPC 610 & 620 standards for electronic assemblies to ensure high-quality workmanship. Ability to interpret engineering troubleshooting procedures for resolving assembly issues quickly. Familiarity with manufacturing environments involving machining or mechanical assembly processes.
