About the role

Healthcare Benefit Specialist Help union members and their families understand and access their healthcare benefits. As a Healthcare Benefit Specialist, you'll be part of a collaborative team that assists members with eligibility, medical, dental, vision, disability, and reimbursement benefits while providing exceptional customer service. What You'll Do: Assist members and providers with benefit and eligibility questions by phone and email. Process enrollments, eligibility updates, COBRA events, Medicare updates, and benefit changes. Review claims and eligibility information for accuracy according to Plan rules. Maintain accurate member records and documentation. Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors. Identify issues and help resolve member concerns promptly. Support audits, reports, and ongoing process improvements. We're Looking for Someone WhoEnjoys helping people and solving problems. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Customer service, healthcare, insurance, retirement, banking, or office administration experience preferred. Microsoft Office experience required; administrative systems experience is a plus. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
Work Schedule: Full-time. Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm. Pay: The hourly rate for this position is $21.00. Actual rate is dependent on skills, experience, education, and other business factors.
