South Key is searching for a Tax & Accounting Lead (CPA) for one of its clients! About the Hiring Company: PrairieView Wealth & Tax Advisors helps clients shatter their Fishbowls and live their Two-Comma Life through integrated wealth management, financial planning, tax planning, and tax preparation. They build deep relationships where clients feel more like family than business, and they're growing their tax and accounting practice. Snapshot: Tax & Accounting Lead (CPA) Frankfort, IL (main office), on-site 5 days a week Base: $80 - $90,000

The Role: As Tax & Accounting Lead, you'll lead a team of Accounting & Tax Specialists and Associates. You'll keep deadlines on track, make sure every deliverable is accurate and on time, and be the go-to expert when your team has tax and accounting questions. You'll report to the Head of Tax Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coach your team of Specialists and Associates
  • Monitor workload and deadlines so deliverables go out accurately and on time
  • Resolve discrepancies in client books and recommend improvements
  • Serve as the escalation point for tax and accounting questions
  • Review tax and accounting work for accuracy and quality before delivery
  • Spot additional client needs and service opportunities
  • Raise operational or HR concerns to the Head of Tax Operations
Qualification Requirements:
  • Active CPA license (required)
  • 4+ years of tax and/or accounting experience, including reviewing others' work
  • People-management experience preferred
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and client communication
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines Why PrairieView:
