Role Description:
The Franchise Owner role at Summit Building Services is a full-time, on-site position located in the Cincinnati Metropolitan Area. This role involves overseeing day-to-day operations of a local cleaning franchise, including staffing, scheduling, quality control, and compliance with company standards and LEED-aligned green cleaning practices. The Franchise Owner will manage client relationships, respond to service inquiries, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction across all accounts. Responsibilities include developing local sales strategies, networking to grow the client base, and presenting tailored cleaning solutions to prospective and existing clients. The Franchise Owner will also recruit, train, and supervise team members, monitor performance and safety protocols, manage budgets and financial reporting, and collaborate with the corporate team to implement Summit’s “Service First” mission.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in franchising or small business ownership, with the ability to follow and implement an established franchise system. Strong skills in training and team development, including coaching, onboarding, and performance management. Proficiency in sales and local business development, with a track record of building and maintaining a client base. Experience in recruiting and hiring staff, with an emphasis on building reliable, high-performing teams. Excellent customer service skills, including relationship management, problem-solving, and client retention. Knowledge of or interest in commercial cleaning, facilities management, or related service industries. Solid organizational and time management abilities, with capacity to handle multiple clients and priorities. Basic financial and operational acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and use of business software tools. High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to health, safety, and sustainability standards. Ability to work on-site in the Knoxville Metropolitan Area and meet local licensing or permitting requirements as needed.
