Job Description: Project Manager - Steel Minimum 2 Years experience as a Project Manager Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to fill a opening with a construction company located in Metro Detroit. The ideal candidates should have Project Engineering experience specifically with structural steel. Requirements of the Project ManagerA bachelor s degree in a complementary technical discipline or equivalent is preferred Minimum three (3) years of project management experience or five (5) years of overall experience within the construction industry serving either steel fabrication or steel erection sectors Experience managing projects with multiple delivery methods ranging from $500K $400M Strong verbal and written communication skills Willingness to perform domestic travel up to one (1) year Skilled in software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Project, Oracle Primavera (Prolog or Viewpoint experience is preferred), Tekla, and SDS2 Benefits of the Project Manager Competitive salary Advancement potential Full time Paid time off Medical / Dental / Vision Profit Sharing & Pension plans Responsibilities of the Project Manager Accountable for overall safety, quality, schedule, profitability, and customer satisfaction on assigned projects Establish and oversee the safety plan and enforce a strong safety culture at assigned sites Write and/or manage all contracts with customers, subcontractors, and design professionals Manage the monthly payment application process Support job site cost management, including monitoring job profitability Supervise and mentor project job site staff Initiate and maintain relationships with prime owner contacts and architects to facilitate existing and potential construction activities Lead and conduct investigations as needed and implement the appropriate corrective actions If you are a high performer and would like to work for an equally high performing company and you think the above opportunity is appropriate for you, we invite you to submit your resume in Microsoft Word format to bray@venteon.com.
