About the role
Paid Convention & Event Staff – Downtown Chicago | October 5–8
Actors, performers, theater professionals, and others with strong guest-facing skills are encouraged to apply. Premier Hospitality is seeking polished, personable, and dependable individuals for a paid four-day convention assignment in the banquet and event areas of a downtown Chicago hotel. Assignment Schedule
Monday, October 5: 6:30 AM–1:45 PM
Tuesday, October 6: 6:30 AM–2:45 PM
Wednesday, October 7: 8:30 AM–2:45 PM
Thursday, October 8: 6:30 AM–1:00 PMWe are particularly interested in individuals who are available for all four days, although qualified candidates with partial availability are also encouraged to apply.
About the Opportunity:
This is not an acting or performance role. We are reaching out to Chicago’s theater community because many of the qualities that make someone successful in theater—professionalism, communication, presentation, adaptability, teamwork, and comfort interacting with people—translate extremely well to convention and event work. Team members may assist with guest greeting and direction, registration, badge control, meeting-room support, attendee assistance, and other general convention/event responsibilities. This can be a great opportunity for actors, performers, and theater professionals interested in flexible paid work that can complement rehearsals, performances, auditions, and other professional commitments.
What We’re Looking For:
- Professional, polished, and personable
- Excellent communication and guest-service skills
- Dependable and punctual
- Comfortable interacting with attendees and clients
- Able to follow direction and work effectively as part of a team
- Previous hospitality, theater, customer service, convention, or event experience is helpful but not required
