About the role
- Creates and processes purchase orders
- Monitor order status, inspects and verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.
- Manages document storage, in electronic and paper version in support of purchasing and logistics functions
- Submission, tracking and follow-up of financial purchase orders including updating tracking sheet
- Manages relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, good rates and compliance to terms of contracts
- Packs goods to be shipped and prepares shipping labels and other needed shipping documents
- Perform basic accounting tasks. Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
- Provide administrative support including scheduling, answering phone calls, sorting mails, etc.
- Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.)Assists in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies.
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline is preferred
- Some administrative experience preferred
- Basic accounting skills
- Intermediate Outlook, Word and Excel skills required.
- Strong interpersonal and vendor management skills
- Ability to organize and keep records for inventory and purchasing functions
- Excellent verbal and written communications
- Strong organization and multi-tasking abilities
- Strong ability to work independently but also as part of a cooperative team
