About the Opportunity: An established residential homebuilder in Northern Virginia is seeking an experienced Residential Construction Project Manager to oversee residential construction projects from start to finish. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on construction professional with a strong background in custom or semi-custom homebuilding who understands construction scheduling, subcontractor management, quality control, and project coordination.
Responsibilities: Manage residential construction projects from site preparation through final completion. Oversee daily jobsite activities and coordinate subcontractors and trade partners. Develop and maintain construction schedules to keep projects on track. Ensure work is completed according to approved plans, specifications, and quality standards. Coordinate material deliveries, inspections, and subcontractor schedules. Monitor construction progress and proactively address delays or jobsite issues. Review construction drawings and identify potential conflicts before they impact the project. Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites. Work with internal teams to resolve construction challenges and coordinate project changes. Monitor project budgets, material costs, and subcontractor expenses. Communicate with homeowners regarding construction progress and project updates. Conduct quality inspections and oversee punch-list completion. Coordinate final walkthroughs and project closeout. Maintain accurate construction records and project documentation. Manage multiple residential projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of residential construction experience preferred.
  • Experience as a Residential Project Manager, Construction Superintendent, or similar position.
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, and building practices.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, schedules, and project timelines.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and construction drawings.
  • Understanding of residential building codes, inspections, and construction sequencing.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between local jobsites.
