About the role
A leading alternative asset manager is seeking a Director of Tax to join its growing team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to lead the firm’s tax function across corporate tax, with some partnership tax responsibilities. The successful candidate will take on a broad, hands-on role, collaborating closely with internal teams and helping to shape the firm’s tax strategy and operations as the business continues to grow. The ideal candidate will bring 10 - 15 years of corporate tax experience within financial services.
Responsibilities:
Lead the firm’s tax function, overseeing tax compliance, reporting, and strategy across corporate, partnership, and affiliated entities.
Oversee tax planning, income projections, partner tax distributions, and state and local tax compliance.
Serve as the primary point of contact for tax-related matters, coordinating with investors, internal teams, and external tax advisors.
Strengthen tax processes, controls, and reporting infrastructure to support the firm’s continued growth.
Qualifications:
- 10 - 15 years of corporate tax experience within financial services
- CPA is preferred
