JOB DESCRIPTIONProvides administrative support to a department or individual. Duties may include word processing, filing, faxing, answering phones, receiving and directing visitors, scheduling, financial record keeping, coordinating meetings and conferences, obtaining supplies and sorting/distributing mail, compiling and assembling information, creating and modifying reports, and composing basic correspondence. May work on special projects Must be able to multi-task and prioritize. Strong organizational skills are essential. Strong communication skills over the phone, via email, and in person are required. Ability to handle routine situations with minimal direction regarding tasks to be performed/ Ability to work under deadline pressure and ability to work independently required. Experience with MS Office required.Role OverviewXcel Energy is seeking an Administrative Assistant II to support general office operationsSherco Generating Station – Becker, MN. This role will report directly to a Sr OperationsManager and will be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will assist with administrativeduties for a team of approximately 10 individuals, including plant management andengineering staff.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral office support including filing and arranging meetingsCalendar management and meeting coordinationCatering arrangements for meetings and eventsTaking meeting notes and distributing summariesBackup support for time and expense management in UKGOccasional plant floor presence (approximately 10%) Required Skills andQualifications5–7 years of general administrative experience (minimum 3 years required)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Experience with SAP, Workday, and UKG systemsStrong English language proficiencyAbility to support office staff and coordinate logisticsComfortable working in a power plant environment with occasional plant floor exposure
