About the role

Coach Job Goal: The coach is responsible for organizing, supervising, and instructing student-athletes in the assigned sport while promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, skill development, and character. The coach supports the district's educational mission by providing a safe and positive athletic experience for all participants.
Reports to: Principal or Assistant Principal
Performance Responsibilities: Plan and conduct practices, training sessions, and competitions. Teach sport-specific skills, rules, and strategies. Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, and responsible behavior among student-athletes. Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, travel, and related activities. Ensure compliance with district policies and rules established by the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA).Monitor student-athlete academic eligibility and encourage academic success. Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, school staff, and administration. Maintain equipment, uniforms, and program records.
