About the role
- Hanging printing plates or installing cylinders
- Inspecting plates and cylinders for imperfections
- Positioning images accurately
- Preparing blankets
- Adjusting tension and registration
- Make color corrections and press adjustments to meet quality standards before and during production
- Monitor print quality throughout production runs
- Clean, lubricate, and maintain press equipmentPerform minor equipment repairs and replace worn or damaged parts
- Complete routine preventive maintenance according to manufacturer recommendations
- Follow all company safety policies and quality procedures
- Experience operating offset printing press equipment
- Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, equipment, and production specifications
- Ability to read and interpret job specifications and production instructions
- Strong understanding of press capabilities, settings, and material selection
- Ability to make precise machine adjustments and perform press setup independently
- Experience performing routine maintenance and minor mechanical repairs
- Knowledge of packing pressure requirements for various print jobs
- Ability to use precision measuring tools, including a micrometer, to correctly mount and align printing plates
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
