About the role
Seeking a mid-career Packaging Engineer for a contracted remote position, the successful candidate will focus on structural design and CAD, creating production-ready designs while collaborating with on-site teams for prototype assembly.
Key Responsibilities:
Create precise, production-ready structural designs, dielines, and parametric models for paperboard and corrugated packaging using ArtiosCAD
Ensure designs optimize material yield, minimize waste, and maximize structural integrity while accounting for automated production constraints
Produce standard operating procedures, technical spec sheets, and assembly guides for production and sample teamsRequired QualificationsProven experience drafting and outputting dielines in ArtiosCAD (non-negotiable)
Strong technical understanding of paperboard, folding cartons, and corrugated materials
Background in Industrial Design, Packaging Engineering, or a related technical discipline
3-7+ years of hands-on structural packaging design experience in manufacturing environments
Excellent written/verbal communication skills for clear asynchronous technical handoffs
