About the role
As a Part-Time Evening Mother's Helper, you will support a family with care for one preschool-aged child on selected weekday and Saturday evenings. You will provide attentive supervision, engage the child in age-appropriate play and learning activities, ensure safety, and communicate clearly with parents. Duties may include light meal preparation and assisting with bedtime routines as needed. Reliability, respect for family routines, and comfort working in the family’s home are important for success in this role. Provide attentive, caring supervision for a preschool-aged child during evening hours. Plan and lead age-appropriate, engaging activities to support play and learning. Monitor and maintain a safe environment in the family’s home at all times. Assist with simple meal or snack preparation for the child as needed. Support bedtime routines, such as helping with pajamas, teeth brushing, and reading. Communicate clearly with parents about the child’s activities and any concerns.
