About the role

We’re looking for a senior Water Resources Engineering Leader to help lead and expand a growing Colorado water resources practice. This position is particularly suited to an established Colorado water resources professional with deep experience in water rights engineering, water supply planning, client development, and technical leadership. You’ll have the opportunity to lead complex projects, develop a team, build long-term client relationships, and play a major role in growing the firm's presence within the Colorado water community. What You’ll Work On:• Colorado water rights engineering• Water supply planning and development• Water rights yield studies• Changes of water rights and augmentation plans• Water rights accounting• River and stream system supply modeling• Water budgets and water accounting frameworks• Water transfers and strategic water supply planning• Water rights valuations• Expert analysis, testimony, and litigation support
What You’ll Do: • Lead and grow Colorado water rights and water resources engineering services• Develop and expand a book of business across Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region• Build long-term relationships with municipalities, water providers, and other key clients• Lead proposals and competitive pursuits• Manage and develop a team of water resources professionals• Provide senior technical guidance and QA/QC• Lead complex water supply and water rights projects• Prepare and review technical reports, water supply assessments, water management plans, and strategic studies• Represent the practice with clients and external stakeholders
What We’re Looking For: • 12+ years of water resources engineering experience• 8+ years of experience working within the Colorado water resources market• Strong knowledge of Colorado water rights frameworks and administration• Significant experience with water supply and water rights engineering• Surface water and water balance modeling experience• Demonstrated client relationship and business development capabilities• Experience leading and developing technical teams• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, Geology, Earth Sciences, or related discipline• Master's degree preferred• Professional registration preferred• Expert testimony or litigation-support experience is highly desirable This is an opportunity for an established Colorado water resources professional to take a significant leadership position combining technical excellence, client development, team leadership, and practice growth.
