Sales Consultant / Account Executive – Payments & Merchant Services (Contract)
Location: 100% Remote (U.S.). Must be flexible to work an Eastern Time schedule. Job Description: We are hiring a large class of Sales Consultants / Account Executives to join a fast-growing merchant services team. This is a consultative, relationship-driven software sales role, not a high-volume, transactional one. You will act as a problem solver and trusted advisor, learning how business owners operate and showing how payments and money movement solutions can help them save time, reduce costs, and grow.
Duties and Responsibilities: Proactively identify opportunities to grow existing customer accounts and recommend strategic solutions. Understand business owners' needs, challenges, and goals through consultative discovery. Position merchant services, payments, and bill pay solutions against customer business challenges with a clear focus on ROI.Drive product adoption, utilization, and account expansion after the initial sale. Articulate the value of the platform and its competitive advantages versus other providers. Apply knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable workflows to recommend the right solutions. Manage a large pipeline of prospects in Salesforce and maintain a healthy sales cycle. Work inbound, outbound, and warm lead opportunities as business needs require. Track and deliver on key metrics, including quota attainment, close rates, and pipeline velocity. Partner with support teams and internal stakeholders to move deals through close and serve customers well. Required Experience/Skills 2+ years of fintech/payments experience.2+ years of quota-carrying software/SaaS or technology sales experience, preferably in merchant services. Experience selling merchant services or payments solutions across multiple industries. Familiarity with merchant services standards such as rates, cost analysis, and risk management. Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes related to money movement. Proven ability to manage a large pipeline in Salesforce. Experience with sales methodologies such as Challenger, SPIN, Solution Selling, or Sandler. Track record of managing accounts beyond the initial sale, growing adoption and revenue. Strong collaboration, communication, and influencing skills. Flexibility to work any shift within 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM ET and openness to both inbound and outbound sales.
Nice-to-Haves: Prior sales experience with accounting software, ERP, or financial management solutions. Experience selling to the small business and mid-market segment. Familiarity with the full client management lifecycle.
Pay & Benefits: Summary
Hourly pay: $24.86/hour.100% remote work.
