Position Overview: The Ojai Senior Occupational Therapist provides evaluation and treatment to a variety of complex inpatient and outpatient diagnoses. The Ojai Sr. Occupational Therapist also supervises inpatient and outpatient activities. Acts in place of the Rehab Supervisor (CMH-Ojai) in the supervisor's absence. Supervises daily professional patient-related activities of Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants and Rehab Aides. Participates with annual performance evaluations. Able to communicate occupational therapy goals and patient information to physicians, other hospital staff, and agents of reimbursement. Assists with completion of MDS GG sections and attends MDS/IDT and rehab meetings as needed. In addition to supervisory and leadership activities, the position involves carrying a full patient load, but the load may vary depending on department.
Qualifications: Required Bachelor's Degree in Occupational TherapyCurrent CA Occupational Therapist license issued by the Board of Occupational TherapyCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Five (5) years of professional experience with both in and outpatient areas of an acute care hospital, including pre-graduate clinical internships PreferredMaster's Degree in Occupational Therapy Previous Skilled Nursing experience Additional Board Specialty Certification(s) by the AOTAOverview Nationally Recognized.
