Focus: Direct daily warehouse activities, including inbound receiving, inventory storage, order preparation, outbound distribution, and returns processing. Lead, coach, and develop warehouse personnel while establishing clear expectations, performance standards, and accountability. Improve Warehouse Management System (WMS) functionality, inventory controls, and data reliability to support more effective operations. Identify operational bottlenecks and implement practical solutions that improve workflow efficiency, productivity, and service consistency. Establish and monitor key performance indicators related to inventory accuracy, order turnaround, operational quality, and employee productivity. Implement preventive measures to minimize product damage, reduce inventory discrepancies, and strengthen handling procedures. Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant warehouse environment through consistent training, inspections, and operational oversight. Partner with internal stakeholders to coordinate operational priorities, resolve service challenges, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Skill Set:5+ years of progressive experience managing warehouse, distribution, or logistics operations, including direct supervision of employees. Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including system configuration, process optimization, implementation, or migration. Demonstrated success improving underperforming warehouse operations through measurable gains in efficiency, accuracy, productivity, or service quality. Proven ability to supervise warehouse employees, establish accountability, address performance concerns, and develop high-performing teams. Strong analytical capabilities, including proficiency with spreadsheets, operational reporting, performance metrics, and data-driven decision-making. Willingness to remain actively involved in warehouse floor operations while managing broader operational priorities. Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead teams through operational changes. Experience in specialized logistics, third-party warehousing, inventory-intensive environments, or union workforce management is beneficial. Forklift certification is a plus.
