The Business Development Manager for Foodservice Chains drives growth with national and regional chain accounts across the United States and Canada, with a primary focus on sales outreach, relationship development, and strategic account expansion. The role blends proactive prospecting with structured account management, requiring strong commercial acumen, comfort with high‑volume outreach, and the ability to influence decision‑makers in culinary, procurement, and operations functions. Up 30% Travel Required
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and grow chain foodservice accounts through structured sales outreach, presentations, and ongoing relationship management.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new chain opportunities across QSR, fast casual, casual dining, contract feeders, and non‑commercial segments.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools and data intelligence platforms.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to support customer programs, product launches, and promotional initiatives.
- Communicate pricing, contracts, and program agreements within established guidelines.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and customer performance to identify growth opportunities and risks.
- Support national account managers on large strategic accounts by coordinating internal resources and managing day‑to‑day communication.
- Represent the company at virtual trade events, webinars, and in‑person customer meetings
- Required / Preferred Qualifications
- Experience / Relationships preferred in multi- unit foodservice sales, business development, or account management, ideally with chain or multi‑unit customers.
- Strong sales capabilities, including comfort with outbound calling, virtual and in person presentations, and digital selling tools.
- Proven ability to build relationships remotely and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Solid understanding of foodservice distribution, pricing structures, and operator purchasing behavior.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, sales reporting, and pipeline management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English; French bilingualism is a strong asset for Montreal‑based work.
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
