About the role
Observability & Monitoring Analyst*Contract with potential extensions/conversion*Hybrid: 3x a week onsite in Charlotte, NC Standard working hours, no on-call Optomi, in partnership with a leading financial services company, is seeking an Observability Analyst to improve observability, reduce alert fatigue, and driving better operational visibility across the enterprise ecosystem. The candidate will focus on tuning alerts, analyzing incident trends, and proposing enhancements to the current monitoring practices. What the responsibilities are of the right candidate: Analyze incident trends and propose enhancement alignment and priority Improve on-call operations through better observability and alerting Evaluate current monitoring practices to identify noise and propose improvements Help reduce alert fatigue by tuning alerts and promoting actionable alerting standards What type of experience does the right candidate have: Experience in observability, production engineering, SRE, platform engineering, or application operations Hands-on experience with Dynatrace (or similar APM tools) and AWSStrong problem-solving skills with a focus on practical, sustainable improvements What the right candidate will enjoy: Working in a dynamic financial services environment Improving the operational experience for on-call engineers Influencing the observability and monitoring practices
