Role Description:
The Business Travel Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at the Sheraton & Le Meridien Hotel in Charlotte, NC. This role is responsible for generating and growing corporate and business travel accounts through proactive sales activities, including prospecting, qualification, site visits, and regular client contact. The manager will negotiate rates and contracts, manage account production, and monitor performance against sales targets and budgets. Daily responsibilities include preparing sales proposals, maintaining accurate records in the sales system, collaborating with revenue management and operations teams, and representing the hotels at industry events or client meetings. The role also involves analyzing market trends, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction and repeat business.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated expertise in Travel Sales and Business Travel, with experience managing corporate or consortia accounts. Strong Sales and Sales Management skills, including prospecting, pipeline management, and closing business. Ability to work with Budgeting and revenue goals, analyzing performance and adjusting strategies accordingly. Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional client relationships. Previous hotel or hospitality sales experience is strongly preferred. Proficiency with CRM or hotel sales systems and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).Ability to work on-site in Charlotte, NC, and participate in occasional local travel or events as needed. Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
