Legal Secretary – Business Litigation (San Jose, Hybrid)Join a fast-paced, collaborative legal team where your expertise keeps high-stakes litigation running smoothly. We’re seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to support attorneys in complex federal and state court business litigation matters. This role is based in our San Jose office, with a hybrid schedule (minimum three days in-office).This is a contract to hire role in San Jose!What You’ll Do:Provide high-level administrative and litigation support to attorneys handling business litigation mattersPrepare, format, proofread, and file legal documents in federal and state courts, including trial filingsManage and maintain complex litigation calendars, deadlines, and court requirementsHandle electronic filings through systems such as ECF, PACER, First Legal, and OneLegalCoordinate transcripts, discovery materials, and case documentationSupport case management, document organization, and workflow efficiencyWhat You Bring:5+ years of experience as a legal secretary in business litigationStrong knowledge of federal and state court rules, procedures, and filing requirementsAdvanced calendaring and e-filing expertiseProficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), Law Toolbox, Lexis, transcript management tools, and eDiscovery platforms
