About the role
Spine Search is partnering with a healthcare system in Queens, with a central office in Nassau County, to recruit a Director of Patient Access & Financial Clearance. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced Revenue Cycle professional to drive operational transformation, standardize workflows, and enhance patient access and financial clearance across a healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic and operational leadership for Patient Access and Financial Clearance. Oversee registration, eligibility and benefits verification, authorization, financial clearance, patient estimates, and point-of-service collections. Develop standardized workflows, performance metrics, and accountability structures to improve operational efficiency. Lead, mentor, and develop management teams while driving process improvement and organizational change. Partner with clinical, financial, operational, and IT leadership to strengthen Revenue Cycle performance. Lead Patient Access and Financial Clearance workflow optimization in preparation for MEDITECH Expanse.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master's preferred. Minimum of 7 years of progressive healthcare Revenue Cycle or Patient Access experience, including significant hospital experience. At least 5 years of progressive leadership experience overseeing managers, supervisors, or large teams. Proven experience transforming or redesigning Patient Access or Financial Clearance operations. Strong knowledge of hospital Revenue Cycle operations, performance metrics, and denial prevention. MEDITECH Expanse experience and relevant Revenue Cycle certifications are preferred. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Revenue Cycle leader who enjoys building teams, improving processes, and driving meaningful operational change.
