About the Opportunity:
We’re looking for an Inside Sales Representative to support day-to-day customer needs while helping grow existing accounts. This role combines order management, customer service, product support, and proactive sales outreach. You’ll work closely with customers, account managers, warehouse, purchasing, and delivery teams to make sure orders are processed accurately and customers receive the support they need. Consistent Schedule:
Monday–Friday, daytime schedule. Local Role: 100% onsite in Baltimore with no travel required.
What You’ll Do:
Order Management: Process web orders, customer POs, and trade counter requests accurately through the company’s ERP system. Customer Support: Provide product information, pricing, quotes, order updates, and general support to property managers, contractors, and other customers. Order Coordination: Work closely with warehouse, purchasing, and delivery teams to track shipments, expedite urgent orders, and resolve order discrepancies. Account Re-Engagement: Review account activity to identify inactive or declining accounts and proactively reach out to re-engage customers and recover sales. Account Growth: Identify relevant cross-selling and upselling opportunities based on customer needs and purchasing patterns. Account Manager Support: Assist key account managers with order processing, customer requests, and day-to-day account needs.
What We’re Looking For:
2+ years of experience in inside sales, order processing, trade counter sales, customer service, or a similar high-volume customer-facing role. Experience in wholesale distribution, building supplies, hardware, MRO, plumbing, electrical, or related products is preferred. Experience in a retail Pro Desk environment, such as Lowe’s or Home Depot, can also be a strong fit. Comfortable working with ERP or order management systems such as SAP, Epicor, Prophet 21, or similar platforms. Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once. Strong communication and customer service skills. Proactive and resourceful approach to solving customer and order-related issues. Comfortable making outbound calls and engaging customers when opportunities arise.
