The practice works closely with Alpha’s broader advisory, data, and technology teams to translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions and provide continuity from strategy and design through implementation and ongoing support.The RoleOwn engagement governance and project management across Workday implementations, coordinating methodology, timelines, scope, budget, resources, risks, and cross-workstream delivery. The Engagement Manager serves as the primary coordination point between client project leadership and the implementation team.What You’ll DoProject Governance: Drive the project lifecycle in alignment with Workday implementation methodology, maintaining integrated plans, milestones, RAID logs, decision logs, status reporting, and governance routines.Scope, Budget & Schedule: Manage project scope, delivery timelines, budget tracking, resource plans, dependencies, and change control. Escalate issues and variances with clear options and recommended actions.Client Stakeholder Management: Develop strong relationships with client project managers, sponsors, and workstream leads and serve as the primary organizational point of contact for day-to-day delivery coordination.Workday Coordination: Coordinate required communications, checkpoints, and quality assurance activities with Workday teams, including Delivery Assurance where applicable.Cross-Workstream Leadership: Facilitate coordination across functional, technical, data, testing, change, and client teams to maintain alignment and resolve dependencies.Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify delivery risks and issues, establish mitigation plans, drive ownership, and ensure timely escalation and resolution.Testing, Cutover & Readiness Governance: Coordinate overall testing, UAT, cutover, deployment, and stabilization plans across workstreams and ensure readiness criteria are clearly defined and tracked.Executive Communication: Prepare concise, decision-oriented status reporting and facilitate steering committee and governance discussions with senior stakeholders.Methodology & Continuous Improvement: Promote disciplined use of delivery methods, templates, and governance standards and contribute lessons learned and improvements to reusable engagement management assets.Required Experience & Qualifications4+ years of experience managing enterprise software deployments, preferably Workday Financials, HCM, or similarly complex cloud transformation programs.Strong PMO, project planning, scope control, budget management, risk management, and cross-team coordination skills.Demonstrated ability to manage client stakeholders and communicate effectively with senior project and business leaders.Experience coordinating multiple functional and technical workstreams through testing, cutover, and go-live.Workday CertificationsWorkday Engagement Manager (EM) certification is strongly preferred / required where applicable to assigned engagements.Large Enterprise (LE) Engagement Manager certification is a plus.PMP or other recognized project management credential is valued.Location & TravelThis position is US-based and primarily remote. A reasonable estimate of the salary range is $130,000 – $160,000 USD, subject to change based on salary benchmarking. In addition to this salary, candidates will be eligible for a variable bonus.
