Staffing Assistant Position Summary:
FOCUS Workforce Management is seeking a reliable and organized Staffing Assistant to support recruiting, onboarding, staffing operations, and associate needs. This position works closely with candidates, associates, FOCUS leadership, and client-site teams to ensure staffing needs are met efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with recruiting, candidate outreach, and pre-screening. Conduct interviews and follow up with candidates throughout the hiring process. Communicate job details, pay rates, schedules, start dates, and client expectations. Assist with onboarding, hiring paperwork, background checks, drug screening, and orientation. Track candidate progress and maintain accurate staffing records. Follow up on pending requirements and confirm new-hire start dates. Support attendance tracking, call-offs, no-shows, and associate concerns. Assist with onsite recruiting and staffing activities. Coordinate interviews, tours, orientations, and start dates. Communicate staffing updates and hiring needs to FOCUS management and client contacts. Provide professional customer service to candidates, associates, and client partners. Maintain confidentiality of candidate and employee information. Perform other staffing and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous staffing, recruiting, human resources, customer service, or warehouse experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Basic computer skills and ability to learn staffing systems. Ability to communicate professionally with candidates, associates, and client management. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Pay & Schedule
Pay: $18–$19/hour
Schedule:
Thursday–Sunday | 6:00 AM–5:00 PMWork Environment This position may involve working in both office and warehouse environments, with regular interaction with candidates, associates, supervisors, and client management.
