About the role

Order Confirmation Assistant Remote order administration | $28+ an hour Once a customer submits an order, they need to know that the request was received and that its details are correct. The Order Confirmation Assistant checks supplied order information, compares it with the online record, and prepares or sends approved confirmation messages. This is an introductory support position focused on accuracy and communication; you will not set prices, approve exceptions, or promise delivery dates the system does not show. The Confirmation CheckFind the order using its reference number or customer details. Compare the recorded items and quantities with the submission. Check the available delivery or collection information. Identify missing or conflicting details before confirming. Send approved confirmation wording through the assigned channel. Record the communication in the correct customer history. Refer requests for changes outside the routine process. A customer may submit two similar items or update an address in a later message. Before sending a confirmation, check for the newest approved details. If a discrepancy is still unresolved, ask a focused question or route it to the person authorized to correct the order. An inaccurate confirmation can create confusion even when the order itself has not changed. After a Customer Replies A confirmation sometimes prompts a question: "Did you receive both items?" or "Can I change the quantity?" Read the customer's message and the order history together. You may answer what the record confirms, but a change request should follow the employer's approval or editing procedure. If another team will handle it, let the customer know the appropriate next step without implying the change has already been made. This work includes small office administration tasks such as updating statuses and keeping messages with the right order. Good customer service means explaining details plainly, not sending a generic response that misses the question. A useful completed file shows which information was checked, what confirmation was sent, and any unresolved change request. Order confirmations may be prepared from a queue. Keep the items you have checked separate from those awaiting a missing detail. If an order contains several products, scan the whole record rather than matching only the first line. A question about availability or shipping charges may require another team; it should not delay you from recording which confirmation details are already verified. The finished record should make clear what was communicated and what is still pending. Who May FitBasic computer skills, comfort with online forms, and care with names, numbers, and quantities matter. Prior order processing, customer service, or office administration experience is helpful but not required. The order system and confirmation steps can be learned in the role, so beginners should consider applying. Experience from retail, volunteering, school administration, or another setting where details had to match can transfer. The position is remote and can be part-time or full-time. A private home office or another suitable space helps you handle order information carefully. The hiring company will confirm any specific hours or tools before the role is published. If a customer confirms that the details are correct, record that response with the order rather than sending a second identical confirmation. A later colleague should be able to see whether the customer acknowledged the information or simply received the first message. For Applicants Care with order details and a clear written reply matter here. Experience confirming information for customers can be useful, whether it came from retail, customer support, or another setting. Newcomers who can follow a process and check their work are welcome. If you're selected for the next step, you may be asked to complete an application on the hiring company's website. The hiring company will confirm its actual order system and communication steps for this opening.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
