CAD-CAM Technician IIIJoin National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry! We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 50 labs throughout the country. We are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Thayer Dental Lab in Mechanicsburg, PA, for a CAD CAM III - Implants. The regular hours for this position are from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, and subject to change from time to time. Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position: Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist. Preliminary: Place models on appropriate type of articulator using correct technique. Articulate models by using bites sent by doctor or hand articulating to correct bite: Prepare for bites. Insert implant copings. Soft tissue. Cement screw retained cases. Seat custom abutments in soft tissue model and make adjustments as necessary. Order implant parts. Prepare casework instruction sheets.3shape: Scan all abutment systems. Model builder. Design Abutments. Design cement retained or screw retained crown/bridge cases organized so that the flow of work stays on schedule. Clean work area daily. Other Duties of Job: Communicate with Laboratory Manager and Production Manager on a daily basis. Perform other related duties as required.
Skills and Abilities
Required: Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must have basic computer skills. Excellent hand eye attention to detail. Time management skills required for production environment. Display problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
Minimum Education and Experience
Required: Five to ten years related experience/training in preliminary, CAD/CAM, crown & bridge, and implant related dental laboratory production. CDT or equivalent preferred. PTC certification in SPA and SAA as a minimum standard. Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used: Hand-pieces. Steamers Accelerator Glue Sharp Tools. Bench
Requirements: Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach. Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions.
