Area Sales Manager – Building DrainageTo facilitate the sales activities for ACO Building Drainage within a specific territory or region, follow up on leads, identify possible projects, offer support to internal and external customers, develop repetitive selling strategy & contribute to group goals.Essential Duties and Functions:Monitor and direct territory sales performanceExceed monthly and yearly sales budgetsMonitor ACO Distributor's performance to ensure they are meeting the terms of the Distributor AgreementsLead weekly review session with ISR & CSR. The ASM is the Captain of the Sales TeamIdentify, track, manage and close major projects within region, utilizing Microsoft DynamicsSearch for new opportunities using available tools (Google, CMD, LinkedIn, etc.)Prepare and send submittal package to ACO Distributor or Direct Buy customer after a Purchase Order has been receivedEstablish specifications for ACO Products through Architects/Engineers, Design/Build Firms etc.Analyze and communicate customer/client requirements to the ACO CS, BD or Tech Service Depts. as appropriateProvide the Marketing Department with photos & project worksheets for promotional purposesAssist with customer problem resolutionParticipating in budget planning for regionAttend and set-up trade showsTrain and manage Manufacturer's Reps or showroom/wholesale accounts who assist ACO to sell productAverage 60% travel expected per month. If more office time is needed, supervisor approval is requiredComply with Company policies and proceduresCompetencies:Collaboration SkillsOrganizational SkillsCommunication Proficiency - Technical CapacityInitiativeSelling SkillsEducation and/or Experience:Bachelor's degree in business, science or other related discipline or associate degree and related experience AND/OR one year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training.A minimum of one-year previous inside sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Bachelor's degree with concentration in business is preferred.Other Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the level of knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as simple construction drawings, blueprints, or requests for proposals. Develop the ability to write professional correspondence, ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Should possess the ability to compute percentages, discounts & margins.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Access, Excel, databases, and file management. Must be able to create documents and transfer files.Key boarding skills of 35 wpm, intermediate knowledge of Microsoft professional programs, Excel, Word, Power Point & OthersProficient use of video conferencing equipmentExcellent punctuation, grammar, and spellingProfessional phone mannersPhysical and Work Environment:Ability to travel daily and spend most of the day in a vehicleAbility to sit, stand, walk, and bend daily.Valid driver's license and no major driving violationsAbility to operate a computer for 1-2 hours per day.Ability to lift product up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis.Other Duties:The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
