About the role
ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking an experienced, results oriented Information Technology (IT) Enterprise Architect or Systems Engineer to join our team in the Bethesda, Maryland area. You will play a critical role in documenting and shaping our client's IT enterprise architecture, ensuring alignment with the client's vision of driving interoperability across organizations.Responsibilities Include: Develop an IT enterprise architecture that provides client stakeholders awareness of critical capabilities, dependencies, and mission critical impacts and risks. This includes developing the: Enterprise Architecture Baseline: Discover and capture the state of the client's IT enterprise as it exists across multiple organizations throughout the enterprise.Enterprise Architecture Future State: Work in alignment with the client's vision to capture the state of the client's IT enterprise.Enterprise Architecture Transition Plan: Create the guidance and architecture artifacts to incrementally transition the client's enterprise architecture from the as-is state to the future state.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including content providers, content consumers, developers, engineers, and business analysts. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.QualificationsBasic Qualifications: Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD. However, four years of additional experience can be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect, Systems Engineer, or similar role.Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., UAF, TOGAF, Zachman, DoDAF).Familiarity with Systems Modeling Language (SysML) or Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Model-Based Systems EngineeringPreferred Qualifications: Five or more years of experience working with or in the Intelligence Community (IC).Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering tools (e.g., MagicDraw, Rational Rhapsody, Cameo, Genesys, etc.). Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
