About the role
- We are searching for a candidate with: 7+ years of elevator-industry sales, business development, operations, engineering, or related commercial experience preferred
- Experience with freight doors, elevator entrances, modernization, or related elevator systems strongly preferred
- Established relationships within the independent elevator contractor and/or elevator consultant community highly desirable
- Strong understanding of elevator modernization and the ability to interpret project requirements, specifications, and technical applications
- Demonstrated ability to proactively develop opportunities through consultative selling and relationship development
- Proven ability to build relationships with customers and key decision makers at multiple levels
- Strong commercial judgment with the ability to balance customer requirements, technical feasibility, and profitability
- Ability to communicate effectively with mechanics, project managers, building owners, consultants, sales professionals, and senior executives
- Experience using Salesforce or another CRM platform to manage opportunities, pipeline activity, and forecasting
- Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills
- Ability to work effectively across Sales, Product, Engineering, Operations, and Customer Service teams
- Ability and willingness to travel nationally approximately 40-50% Duties and Responsibilities
- A typical day may include: Developing and executing a national growth strategy for Courion freight doors across modernization, replacement, and new-installation opportunities
- Identifying high-value projects, customers, and elevator portfolios where Courion solutions can be positioned early in the project lifecycle
- Building and maintaining a national pipeline of qualified freight-door opportunities with measurable revenue, order, and market-development objectives
- Identifying buildings and elevator portfolios with aging freight-door equipment and developing targeted modernization opportunities
- Pursuing strategic national and regional accounts with significant freight-elevator portfolios
- Identifying competitive conversion opportunities and developing strategies to expand Courion's market presence
- Developing relationships with elevator contractors, consultants, building owners, property managers, developers, and other key industry stakeholders
- Establishing Courion as a trusted technical and commercial resource for freight-door applications
- Engaging customers and consultants early in the project lifecycle to influence specifications, product selection, and project scope
- Conducting customer presentations, lunch-and-learns, product demonstrations, and technical education
- Representing Courion at industry events, association meetings, trade shows, and customer meetings
- Partnering with Vantage Regional Sales Managers and Territory Sales Managers to identify and develop Courion opportunities throughout the United States
- Providing technical and commercial support during customer meetings, project development, and major quotations
- Assisting the regional sales organization with strategies for large or complex freight-door opportunities
- Providing product and application training to the Vantage sales organization
- Building and maintaining relationships with elevator consultants and other specification influencers nationally
- Promoting Courion specifications and preferred product configurations for modernization and new-installation projects
- Monitoring major projects during planning and specification stages to position Courion ahead of the bidding process
- Serving as a primary commercial voice of the customer for the Courion product line
- Gathering customer, field, and competitive feedback and communicating meaningful market requirements to Product, Engineering, and Operations
- Identifying recurring customer needs and opportunities for product, process, and customer-experience improvements
- Supporting the evaluation, commercialization, pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategy of Courion products and enhancements
- Working closely with Courion Operations, Engineering, Customer Service, and Vantage Commercial leadership to support major opportunities and strategic customer relationships
- Providing market intelligence and pipeline visibility to support forecasting, capacity planning, and product-development decisions
- Maintaining accurate opportunity and pipeline information through Salesforce and established Vantage sales processes
