About the role
Lead Service Technician Paxon Energy & Infrastructure Services is seeking an experienced Lead Service Technician to support our Pipeline Services operations in Middle Georgia. This is a senior, hands-on field role for a highly skilled natural gas pipeline professional who serves as the on-site lead for pipeline service activities. This position plays a critical role in leading field execution on job sites. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, proven field leadership, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to independently execute work while coordinating with managers, project teams, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the on-site lead technician for pipeline service projects, coordinating daily field activities and work execution Lead and/or support small field crews during pipeline service jobs Perform maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of natural gas pipeline systems Execute pipeline pigging operations, including launching, receiving, and maintaining pigging equipment Identify and resolve mechanical and operational issues in the field Ensure compliance with company safety standards and applicable regulatory requirements Maintain accurate field documentation, reports, and job data Communicate effectively with the Pipeline Services Manager, project teams, clients, and field personnel Assist with field training and mentoring of junior technicians as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
58 years of experience in natural gas pipeline operations and maintenance Experience serving as a lead technician or coordinating field crews on pipeline projects Strong working knowledge of pipeline pigging operations Ability to read and interpret drawings, procedures, and technical specifications Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and operational excellence
Preferred Qualifications:
