Job Description:
We are looking for a Data Risk Manager to lead data risk, governance, and migration activities across enterprise data initiatives. This role will work closely with technology, risk, compliance, business, and data teams to ensure data is migrated accurately, securely, and in accordance with governance and risk standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead data risk and governance activities for large-scale data migration initiatives. Identify, assess, and mitigate data-related risks, issues, and control gaps. Establish and monitor data quality, integrity, lineage, and governance controls. Partner with technology and business teams to validate data during migration and transformation. Track data issues, remediation plans, dependencies, and risks through completion. Ensure appropriate controls are in place for sensitive, regulated, and critical data. Support data mapping, reconciliation, validation, and migration readiness activities. Develop risk assessments, dashboards, status reports, and executive-level updates. Work with Data Governance, Risk, Compliance, Information Security, and Engineering teams. Ensure migration activities align with enterprise data policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Required Experience:
Experience in Data Risk, Data Governance, Data Management, or Data Migration. Strong understanding of data quality, controls, data lineage, metadata, and data integrity. Experience supporting or managing large-scale data migration/transformation programs. Strong risk and issue management skills with experience driving remediation. Ability to work across technical and business stakeholders. Strong communication, documentation, and project/program management skills. Experience with financial services, banking, or other highly regulated environments is preferred.
