Position Overview: Wake Forest University School of Medicine (WFUSM) has designated Alzheimer's disease as one of six prioritized research focus areas, which also include Aging, Neurosciences, Diabetes/Obesity, Cardiovascular Disease, and Health Equity. Wake Forest University School of Medicine is home to several highly collaborative NIH-funded Centers including an Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, Pepper Older Adult Independence Center, and a Clinical and Translational Science Institute.
Key Responsibilities: Lead efforts focused on expanding the reach of the existing successful national Alzheimer's clinical trials program at WFUSM throughout the Atrium/Advocate health system in collaboration with our NCCT. Play a leadership role in clinical research conducted by the WFUSM NIH-funded Alzheimer's Disease Research Center of Excellence, one of only 35 such Centers, creating an immediate connection to Alzheimer's programs at premier academic institutions across the nation.
