Executive Director Reporting to the Board of Directors Chicago, IL Facing Forward to End Homelessness is seeking an Executive Director to lead a respected, mission-driven organization dedicated to ending homelessness for families and individuals by offering hope, help, and housing. For more than 40 years, Facing Forward has helped people build lives beyond homelessness. The organization is a trusted presence in Chicago's homelessness response system, recognized for high-quality services, strong partnerships, and an unwavering belief in the potential of every person it serves. Its programs include Permanent Supportive Housing, a Two-Generation approach supporting families across generations, First Foundations for expectant parents and families with young children, Home Connection for families experiencing housing instability, and housing resource services within Chicago's Coordinated Entry System. The Executive Director serves as Facing Forward's chief executive and strategic leader, responsible for advancing the mission, guiding organizational strategy, strengthening financial sustainability, developing a diversified fundraising program, supporting program quality, and ensuring the sound management of the organization's people and resources. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will serve as the organization's principal spokesperson and strengthen its visibility and influence throughout Chicago's civic, philanthropic, and homelessness response communities. Facing Forward seeks a thoughtful, accomplished executive with significant leadership experience in a complex nonprofit, public service, or mission-driven environment. The ideal candidate will bring strategic and practical leadership, fundraising and relationship-building expertise, financial and operational acumen, a collaborative approach to people and culture, and a deep commitment to the belief that every person deserves a safe and stable home. Facing Forward offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The annual salary range for this position is $205,000 to $225,000 and includes an annual incentive plan. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage; retirement contributions; life insurance; and paid time off. This is a full-time, in-person role based in Chicago, Illinois, with occasional evening and weekend attendance required for meetings and events.
