About the role
One of our clients in the government domain is seeking a Food Service Worker/Cook to prepare and serve meals at the Tennessee School for the Blind while maintaining food safety, sanitation, nutritional, and dietary requirements. Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook, and serve meals and snacks according to menus, recipes, and dietary needs. Maintain clean, safe kitchen areas, equipment, dishes, and food storage spaces. Follow food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and temperature control procedures. Support inventory, records, and timely meal service for students and staff.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of basic food preparation, food handling, sanitation, and child nutrition. Ability to follow recipes, menus, dietary guidelines, and safety procedures. Good communication, basic record keeping, and ability to stand and lift kitchen supplies. Must meet required training, hygiene, background check, and workplace safety requirements.
