About the role
Trustpoint has an immediate opening with a prominent full-service law firm for a Billing Specialist on a temporary basis. This hybrid role supports a busy legal team with billing, administrative, and practice support responsibilities in a fast-paced law firm environment, based out of their Midtown office. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, reliable, and willing to jump in wherever needed to support attorneys and staff.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and monitor client invoices and billing activities Produce correspondence, legal documents, pleadings, letters, and other administrative materials Organize and maintain calendars, meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for attorneys, including the Practice Chair Develop and maintain databases, contact lists, and electronic and manual filing systems Prepare reports, presentations, and other administrative documents Maintain litigation files and assist with document management Provide coverage and administrative support for other staff as needed Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion Perform additional billing, administrative, and practice support duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Administrative assistant and/or accounts receivable or billing experience required; legal environment preferred Experience with legal billing (required)Bachelor’s degree preferred Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Power Point Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively in a demanding, fast-paced environment while supporting multiple attorneys and competing priorities Experience with Sure Point and Net Documents (Net Docs) highly preferred All candidates must be able to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time Details: Hybrid schedule, subject to business needs Temporary opportunity covering a leave of absence Assignment duration is currently unknown and will depend on business needs Significant overtime required, typically 10–15 hours per week beyond standard business hours Evening and weekend work may be required to meet deadlines Up to $35/hour, commensurate with experience The ideal candidate is punctual, reliable, and brings a positive, can-do attitude to the workplace. They should be comfortable jumping in to support teammates and managing high-volume billing and administrative responsibilities in a collaborative law firm environment. Trustpoint.
