About the role
- Set up and operate a brake press using production prints.
- Operate forklifts and complete production and quality paperwork.
- Report completed jobs, request new assignments, and perform other assigned duties.
- Inspect parts and use gauges such as calipers and micrometers to check quality.
- Interpret and respond to statistical process control (SPC) charts.
- Identify and report production and quality problems.
- Participate in corrective and preventive actions and continuous improvement projects.
- Follow safety procedures, use safety devices, and maintain a clean work area.
- Experience with Bystronic equipment.
- Ability to read and write English and understand verbal and written training materials in English.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- At least 2 years of brake press experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Forklift certification.
- Experience with SPC control charts, calipers, and micrometers.
