About the role

Overview In this role you will own end-to-end data pipelines for a large-scale cloud data platform, collaborating with engineering and business partners to turn raw data into analytics-ready datasets. You’ll contribute to an enterprise Databricks initiative, shaping pipeline design, data governance, and platform evolution. The position offers hands-on work with visible impact across reporting, analytics, and AI use cases. This is a hands-on, transformation-focused opportunity with modern data tooling in a hybrid Chicago setting. Compensation / Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Vacation Time Stock Options Bonus eligible Responsibilities Build and operate production data pipelines end-to-end Collaborate with BI, AI, and product teams to deliver analytics-ready datasets Document, review, and drive platform improvements and governance Shape pipeline architecture and data governance practices during a long-term transformation Maintain and optimize data processing with CI/CD, testing, and monitoring in mind Key requirements 6+ years of hands-on data engineering experience Strong Databricks experience for building pipelines Python and SQL proficiency for production data processing Working knowledge of Apache Spark and Delta Lake Experience with cloud data storage (ADLS, object storage)Experience with data modeling and schema design Familiarity with Git, CI/CD concepts, and basic testing/monitoring Cross-functional collaboration Proactive problem-solving and ownership Good documentation and communication Azure Databricks PythonSQL
