About the role
Senior Associate, Real Estate Fund Accounting Chicago, IL (downtown) | $90K-$110K base + 20% target bonus Move from audit to running a fund. This firm is growing fast, launching new funds and new strategies in industrial and new-build housing. It keeps the team lean on purpose, so the work you own matters and gets seen, and you'll work side by side with leadership. You'll report to the Director of Accounting, who made the same move out of Big 4 and knows what that first step takes. As the firm grows, your role grows with it. What you'll own Prepare and review quarterly and annual fund financial statements, ledgers and support schedules Run the year-end audit with outside auditors and the fund administrator Review partnership tax work and K-1sSupport cash management, wires, capital calls and distributions Gather and review financials from joint venture partners Work with asset management, acquisitions and investor relations What you bring2 to 4 years of accounting or audit, ideally two busy seasons Real estate audit or fund accounting experience Strong US GAAP and financial statement skills Advanced Excel Bachelor's in accounting or a related field
