Position Summary
Location: Richmond, VA
Salary: $120,000–$140,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits, ESOPWe are seeking a talented and motivated Civil/Site Senior Project Engineer to join our growing team in Richmond, VA. This position offers the opportunity to lead the design and execution of diverse land development projects, including mixed-use, commercial, residential, institutional, and public-sector developments. The ideal candidate is a technical leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering innovative engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and preparation of civil/site development plans, including grading, stormwater management, utility infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, and site layout. Manage project tasks, schedules, budgets, and deliverables from concept through construction. Coordinate with clients, architects, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary project teams. Prepare and review engineering reports, calculations, permit applications, and construction documents. Ensure compliance with Richmond, VA and regional jurisdictional requirements. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff. Support project managers with client communication and project execution.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.6+ years of civil/site design and land development experience. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software. Strong knowledge of grading, stormwater management, utility design, and permitting processes. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
