About the Opportunity:
Peskind Executive Search is recruiting a Senior Sales Engineer for a technology company delivering AI-powered visual gun detection, emergency notification, and automated response solutions. Its technology integrates with existing surveillance cameras, video management systems (VMS), and security infrastructure to help organizations identify potential firearm threats and coordinate responses. We’re looking for a technically strong, customer-facing professional who can lead technical sales conversations and help customers implement the solution successfully. Candidates should bring hands-on experience with VMS, IP video surveillance, video analytics, or related physical security technology.
What You’ll Do:
Partner with sales to lead technical discovery, product demonstrations, solution design, and technical evaluations. Engage directly with customers’ IT teams, security leaders, facilities personnel, and system integrators. Assess existing camera systems, VMS platforms, network infrastructure, and integration requirements. Translate customer needs into practical deployment plans, clearly explaining capabilities, requirements, and technical considerations. Support proofs of concept and pilots, including configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and customer acceptance. Help with implementations, including camera connectivity, VMS integrations, system configuration, and alert and response workflows. Support integrations with emergency notification, access control, and other security platforms. Deliver customer and partner training, technical documentation, and clear handoffs to implementation and support teams. What You Bring:
Demonstrated experience in sales engineering, solutions engineering, technical presales, or a comparable customer-facing technical role. Hands-on experience with video management systems, IP cameras, video surveillance, video analytics, or closely related security solutions. Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, bandwidth, firewalls, and connectivity troubleshooting. Experience supporting software deployments, integrations, technical evaluations, or customer implementations. Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and nontechnical audiences. Confidence leading demonstrations, answering technical questions, and building credibility with customers. Strong troubleshooting skills and ownership of customer issues through resolution. Residence in the Mountain or Pacific time zone, with availability for customer and partner travel.
Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with platforms such as Milestone XProtect, Genetec Security Center, Hanwha Wisenet WAVE, or Vicon Valerus. Experience with AI video analytics, computer vision, visual weapon detection, or emergency communications. Working knowledge of APIs, ONVIF, RTSP, and security system integrations. Experience working with security integrators, channel partners, or technology manufacturers. Customer experience across education, government, public safety, healthcare, commercial facilities, or enterprise security. Why This Role Help customers apply emerging AI technology to real security challenges. This role combines technical sales, customer collaboration, and hands-on deployment support, with direct influence on how customers evaluate, implement, and use the platform. Apply through Peskind Executive Search for confidential consideration.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
