Job Summary: We are seeking a driven, entry-level Account Manager to manage and grow our clinical laboratory accounts. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare providers, clinics, and substance abuse treatment centers utilizing our toxicology and drug testing services. This is an ideal role for an ambitious professional with foundational sales experience looking to break into healthcare and medical diagnostics sales.
Key Responsibilities: Account Management: Maintain and nurture relationships with existing physician offices, clinics, and health systems to ensure client retention and satisfaction. Business Development: Identify and pursue opportunities to cross-sell or expand testing volumes within assigned accounts. Client Onboarding & Training: Educate clinical staff on specimen collection protocols, requisition processes, and portal utilization. Issue Resolution: Act as a liaison between clients and internal laboratory operations to resolve inquiries. Activity Tracking: Regularly log field activity, maintain client records, and manage your pipeline using the company CRM platform.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 1+ years of professional sales, account management, or customer-facing experience (previous B2B or healthcare sales is a plus).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Biology, or a related field preferred.
Skills: Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
Travel: Ability to travel locally to visit clinical client sites within the designated territory. Attributes: High motivation to meet targets, strong organizational skills, and a fast learner capable of understanding scientific/clinical terminology.
