Multimedia Creator The American Civil Liberties Union of Nevada seeks to hire a creative, mission-focused multimedia creator to drive bold, consistent storytelling across digital platforms to advance ACLUNV’s civil rights programs and campaigns. The ACLU of Nevada is the state’s largest and most active organization devoted to the protection and advancement of constitutional rights and liberties and one of the state’s most effective public interest nonprofits. The organization works on a broad range of issues, including but not limited to free speech, immigrants’ rights, the right to vote, and equal protection under the law for all Nevadans. The Multimedia Creator role will report to the Director of Communications and Campaigns in Las Vegas. This is a part-time, hourly position. Outside of select staff meetings, there are no set office hours for this role, and the Multimedia Creator should expect to work 24 – 32 hours each week, including evenings and weekends when needed. Wage depends on experience: $20 - $22 per hour

Essential Job Functions: Setup and operation of cameras, professional lighting, and audio recording to produce interviews, direct-to-camera presentations, podcasts, and other digital and social media content Edit packages and stories from community events, staff/expert interviews, and more Collaborate across departments and programs to ensure all duties and goals are being executed properly and on-time Manage filming/production spaces, multimedia assets, archives, etc. and prepare administrative reports as needed Support day-to-day multimedia needs as they arise in other departments and other duties as assigned
Qualifications: Strong working knowledge of cameras, lighting, and audio; experience filming and editing Proficient with editing software such as Adobe Cloud/Premiere Pro Excellent verbal and written communication skills Project coordination and planning, drafting creative briefs, scripts, shot lists, etc. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects Ability to use good judgment and present a professional image Ability to work well independently and in a team environment Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends as needed Physical Aspects of Position (includes but are not limited to): Sitting or standing for long periods of time throughout shift Occasional lifting and carrying up to 25lbs Occasional walking, standing, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
