Client Overview: Our client is a boutique accounting firm that offers cutting-edge accounting, tax, and advisory services with a penchant for unparalleled client service. They are looking for a Tax Preparer/Reviewer for the upcoming tax season but are open to bringing someone on earlier to ensure proper training. Salary/Hourly Rate$80k - $110kPosition Overview The Tax Preparer/Reviewer will assist with 1040 reviews and work directly with clients during tax season. The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing individual tax returns for accuracy and completeness, identifying potential issues or discrepancies, and communicating recommendations or required adjustments to both internal team members and clients.
Responsibilities Of The Tax Preparer/Reviewer:
  • Review and analyze 1040 individual tax returns for accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify discrepancies, missing information, and potential tax issues.
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding tax documents, questions, and follow-up items.
  • Assist clients with gathering and organizing required tax information.
  • Required Experience/Skills For The Tax Preparer/Reviewer 6+ years of experience preparing and/or reviewing individual 1040 tax returns.
  • Strong knowledge of individual taxation, including W-2s, 1099s, deductions, credits, and investment income.
  • Experience reviewing tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies, missing information, and potential tax issues.
  • Preferred Experience/Skills For The Tax Preparer/Reviewer
  • Experience using CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, UltraTax, Lacerte, or similar tax software.
  • CPA, EA, or CPA candidate preferred.
Education Requirements: BS Degree. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
